Utility Assistance

The Home Energy Assistance Program helps low-income residents with their heating and cooling bills, and makes provisions for emergency heating system services and emergency fuel assistance within the Home Energy Assistance Program.

The HEA Program is federally funded and was created to help low-income residents with their heating and medically necessary cooling bills. Assistance is available to eligible households through LIHEAP and includes benefits to assist with heating bills and certain emergency needs. Additional funds may be available for medically necessary cooling assistance and heating repairs.

PAGE—which stands for Payment Assistance for Gas and Electric—is a state-funded utility assistance program that helps low to moderate income families in New Jersey pay their utility bills
